Travel makeup bag.

It's a bit unsual I share the content of my makeup bag on here, since I pratically never do it, but I thought it could be quite nice to show you what I'm bringing with me for a few days out of the country, because it shows which products I prefer and trust blindly and which makeup I choose if I have to pack very light. Since I'm going to do nothing too fancy, I don't really need a lot of makeup such as beautiful eyeshadows or a lot of lipsticks, this is more something I would wear everyday to look presentable and go out.

E' abbastanza inusuale che io qui sul blog condivida il contenuto della mia makeup bag, dato che praticamente non è mai successo, ma ho pensato potesse essere un'idea carina mostrare cosa ho portato con me per stare cinque giorni fuori dall'Italia, poiché credo possa mostrare quali prodotti davvero preferisco e di quali mi fido ciecamente, quali prediligo se devo viaggiare leggera. Dato che non farò niente di troppo formale, non porto con me chissà quanto makeup come ombretti e rossetti di ogni genere, si tratta più di una makeup bag per look quotidiani e per risultare presentabile prima di uscire.

For the base, I chose the Rouge Bunny Rouge Sketches On Water Tinted Moisturiser (34,89£)* which I rediscovered only recently (you can read more about this story here), but that it's becoming my base of choice these days: it's very comfortable to wear but gives a nice light and texture to the skin at the same time, it has that kind of wet and highlighting finish that I'm completely in love with lately; it's not the most lightweight product in my opinion, but it's nothing really annoying, and you can definitely modulate the coverage with this one. I like to apply it with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush as I think it totally gives its best when well blended with a thick brush like this. The two concealers I brought with me are my usual Kiko Full Coverage Concealer (7,50£) to cover rednesses and blemishes (just in case) and the Neve Cosmetics Yellow Mineral Corrector (12,90€), the perfect offering to cover my dark circles in the more natural and lightest way since I suffer of eczema all around my eyes and I don't really want to apply any creamy or liquid product over there. To complete my base I brought my trusty MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural (22£) to fix my makeup in the T-zone to avoid shininess, and to give my skin a very nice but natural looking texture. I also added my little sample of Rouge Bunny Rouge Original Skin Primer (35,33£) just in case I feel the need of making my makeup last a little bit longer during the day.

Per la base ho scelto il mio Rouge Bunny Rouge Sketches On Water Tinted Moisturiser (42€)*, che ho riscoperto solo di recente (potete leggere più dettagli su questa storia qui), ma che sta diventando la mia prima scelta: è un prodotto molto comodo da indossare ma che dona una particolare luce e texture alla pelle allo stesso tempo, ha un finish bagnato e illuminante di cui sono completamente innamorata ultimamente; non è la base più leggera che possieda, ma non è nulla di particolarmente scocciante, e ha una coprenza decisamente modulabile per decidere che look si desidera ottenere. Mi piace applicarlo con il Real Techniques Buffing Brush perchè penso dia il suo meglio se steso con un pennello piuttosto denso come quello appena nominato. I due correttori che porto con me sono il mio solito Kiko Full Coverage Concealer (7,50€) per coprire eventuali rossori e brufoli (non si sa mai) e il Neve Cosmetics Yellow Mineral Corrector (12,90€), il correttore perfetto per coprire le mie occhiaie nel modo più naturale e leggero dato che sto soffrendo di eczema intorno agli occhi e l'ultima cosa che voglio è applicare in quella zona un prodotto cremoso o liquido. Per completare la base non può mancare la mia fidata MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural (29,74€) per fissare il makeup nella zona T ed evitare che si lucidi, ma anche per donare alla pelle una texture luminosa ma molto naturale. Ho aggiunto infine un sample del Rouge Bunny Rouge Original Skin Primer (43€) in caso senta il bisogno di un primer per far durare il makeup un po' più a lungo.

For blushes I just went a bit crazy as usual, but I've always thought the NARS One Night Stand Blush Palette (LE) is perfect for travelling as you can bring with you six different face powders (four blushes, a highlighter and a bronzer) in one compact palette not really space consuming at all. I think I'm going to contour my face with Laguna everyday since it's the only bronzer I bring with me, and as for the shade I'm going to use the most on my cheeks I think it will be Deep Throat, a beautiful pink with golden shimmers in it that give the best light and color to the face. I'm also taking with me the TheBalm Instain Long Wearing Blush in Swiss Dot (18,50£), a beautiful peach blush (you can read its review here) but also the most long wearing powder blush I own, and for me longevity is a must when it comes to be out all day maybe not having the possibility to adjust my makeup.

Per quanto riguarda i blush ho esagerato come al solito, ma ho sempre pensato che la palette NARS One Night Stand Blush Palette (LE) fosse perfetta per viaggiare dato che grazie a lei si possono portare sei diverse polveri viso (quattro blush, un illuminante e un bronzer) in un unica palette compatta che non occupa poi chissà quanto spazio. Penso che userò ogni giorno Laguna visto che è l'unico bronzer che porto con me, e invece penso che Deep Throat sarà la tonalità di blush che userò di più, un bellissimo rosa con shimmer dorati all'interno che donano una particolare luce al viso. Porto come me anche il blush TheBalm Instain Long Wearing Blush in Swiss Dot (24,05€), un bel pesca (potete leggerne la recensione qui) ma anche uno dei blush in polvere più duraturi che possieda, e per me la longevità è un must quando si tratta di essere fuori tutto il giorno e magari non avere l'occasione di ritoccare il makeup.

For eyes I brought just a minimal amount of products: my Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Demolition (15£) is a staple in my makeup bag because it's the best to smoke out when I want a softer look, plus it's in a beautiful dark (really dark) brown color which is softer than black but a deep and intense color at the same time; I'm obviously bringing with me my Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner (6,79£), a great black gel eyeliner to give my eyes a bit of definition; finally I added last second the MAC Eye Shadow in Sumptuous Olive (12,50£) to be applied if I want something a bit different and fancier than just an eyeliner. Of course I included my L'Oreal Telescopic Mascara, which is sadly almost over, but which I trust over anything else.

Per gli occhi ho selezionato solo una somma molto minimale di prodotti: la mia matita Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Demolition (18,95€) non può mancare in qualsiasi mia makeup bag perchè è la migliore da sfumare se si vuole ottenere un look un po' più soft, in più è in una bellissima tonalità di marrone scuro (molto scuro) che è comunque più delicato del nero, ma allo stesso tempo a suo modo intenso e profondo; chiaramente porto con me il mia amato Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner (8,83€), un buonissimo eyeliner in gel per dare ai miei occhi un po' di definizione; infine ho aggiunto all'ultimo secondo l'ombretto MAC Eye Shadow in Sumptuous Olive (17,64€) da applicare se ho voglia di qualcosa di diverso e più sofisticato di una semplice riga d'eyeliner. Chiaramente ho incluso il mio L'Oreal Telescopic Mascara, che purtroppo sta finendo, ma di cui mi fido più di qualsiasi altro.

I think I'm going to wear lipbalms on my lips for the majority of the time, however I decided to bring my most comfortable lipstick, the Paul & Joe Lipstick in Pret-a-Porter (12,50£), sheer, pink, lightweight, just everything I need. Finally for makeup tools, I've packed my Real Techniques Core Collection Set (17,84£) and a few of my cheap e.l.f. brushes, my Kiko 200 Eye Brush (10,90£), great for blending my mineral concealer, and finally of course my beloved Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler (20£) to give my lashes a nice long wearing curl.

Ho intenzione di indossare un lipbalm sulle labbra per la maggior parte del tempo, ma in ogni caso ho deciso di portare anche un rossetto molto comodo, il Paul & Joe Lipstick in Pret-a-Porter (17,56€), sheer, rosa, leggero, semplicemente tutto ciò di cui ho bisogno. Infine come strumenti da makeup ho incluso il Real Techniques Core Collection Set (22,49€) e qualcuno dei mie pennelli e.l.f., il mio Kiko 200 Eye Brush (9,90€), ottimo per stendere il correttore minerale, e per concludere chiaramente il mio amato Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler (20£) per incurvare le mie ciglia e farle apparire al meglio a lungo.
