Monthly Favorites: March 2014.

March was the month when my life had a huge change, so many things have happened and it really is flown by this time, but beauty-wise I feel very satisfied with things and products I discovered. It's time to go back and pick my monthly favorites again, and this time I feel like they are seriously super foregone as I talked about these products all the time. But this is how favorites work, right?

Marzo è stato il mese in cui la mia vita ha visto i più grandi cambiamenti, sono successe moltissime cose e il mese è seriamente volato questa volta, ma per quanto riguarda il mondo della bellezza sono molto soddisfatta dei prodotti che ho potuto scoprire. E' tempo di tornare indietro e scegliere tutti i miei preferiti del mese, che questa volta sono veramente scontati visto che ne ho parlato tutto il mese. Ma è così che funziona, no?

I recently added the Merumaya Melting Cleansing Balm (£14,50) to my evening skincare routine and since then I'm in love with it and I'm already afraid of when it's going to be gone and I'll need to repurchase it because it's a bit difficult to get here in Italy - however I found out the official Merumaya website ships it here too. This is a super lovely cleansing balm very budget-friendly but so high quality as well, goes on pretty oily and it's such a pleasure to blend into my skin everynight, it makes my cleansing routine so relaxing, and it obviously removes every residue of makeup and impurity at the same time. Another skincare product that went directly into my skincare routine is the Botanics 80% Organic Hydrating Eye Cream (£5,99), a product that really helped me in fighting dry patches all around my eyes and keeping them at bay for a little while - even if now I'm suffering of eczema again. This is very soothing and hydrating, easy to blend, and it features a mix of natural ingredients really good for you skin with anti-aging properties as well. Lastly I'm trying the Soap & Glory No Cloggs Allowed Self-Heating Mask (£7,67) these last few weeks now, and I'm really impressed by this detox and purifying mask. Thought for skins on the oilier side, this blue mask really feels like it's doing its magic while it's on as it heat up as soon as it touches your skin. When I remove it, I always feel my skin like if the oily coat is finally gone, so it feels like it really has worked in purifying your pores.

Ho di recente aggiunto il Merumaya Melting Cleansing Balm (£14,50) alla mia skincare routine serale e da allora me ne sono innamorata e ho già paura di quando finirà e dovrò riacquistarlo perchè è un po' difficile da reperire in italia - però ho scoperto che il sito ufficiale di Merumaya spedisce anche qui. E' un adorabile cleansing balm adatto ai budget più ristretti ma di ottima qualità, è piuttosto oleoso una volta steso ed è un vero piacere applicarlo ogni sera, rende la detersione molto rilassante, e ovviamente rimuove alla perfezione i residui di makeup e le impurità. Un altro prodotto di skincare che è finito direttamente nella mia routine è la crema Botanics 80% Organic Hydrating Eye Cream (£5,99), un prodotto che mi ha davvero aiutato a combattere le zone secche attorno ai miei occhi e tenerla a bada per un po' - anche se ora soffro ancora di eczema. E' emolliente e idratante, facile da stendere e che contiene un mix di ingredienti naturali ottimi per la pelle e con proprietà anti età. Infine sto provando la maschera Soap & Glory No Cloggs Allowed Self-Heating Mask (£7,67) durante queste ultime settimane, e sono molto impressionata da questa maschera purificante. Pensata per le pelli più grasse, questa maschera azzurra sembra proprio che stia facendo il suo dovere quando è sul viso visto che si scalda appena tocca la pelle. Quando la rimuovo sento sempre come se sulla mia pelle lo strato oleoso se ne sia finalmente andato, quindi pare davvero funzionare nel purificare i puri.

As for makeup I'm being a huge fan of the Soap & Glory Glow All Out (£11) lightly dusted all over the face to achieve a beautiful glowy and dewy skin look. This fine luminizer podwer is great as a cheekbones highlighter or light peach blush as well, and it saved my life a tun of times this month when a little on the go touch up was needed or just to look more alive. The Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream (£7,50) has been a bit a neglected new entry in my stash but I'm actually beginning to love it and understand why everyone is so impressed. I bet mine was just a little disappointed reaction to that big hype behind it, but it's seriously a pretty nice base for an everyday basis and, even though the lightest shade they offer is still a bit too dark for my skin, I'm loving the texture and the finish expecially if applied with a thick brush. Lastly the lipstick I'm loving right now is the Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Lovelight (£15), such a pretty sheer shimmery peachy pink shade I'm wearing almost everyday as it's pretty comfortable and lightweight and it lasts a decent time on the lips too. It brings just a little subtle touch of color to my lips, and leaves my makeup always fresh looking, still having one of the best formulas I've ever tried, so I'm definitely a fan.

Per quanto riguarda il makeup sono diventata una grande fan del Soap & Glory Glow All Out (£11) leggermente spolverata su tutto il viso per raggiungere un look radioso e luminoso ogni volta. Questa finissima polvere illuminante è perfetta da applicarsi sugli zigomi ma anche come chiarissimo blush pescato sulle guance, e ha salvato la mia faccia moltissime volte questo mese quando avevo bisogno di un piccolo ritocco mentre ero fuori casa o anche solo per sembrare più viva. La Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream (€10,53) è stata invece inizialmente una new entry un po' trascurata ma sto in realtà iniziando ad amarla e a capire perchè tutte ne sono così impressionate. Scommetto che la mia fosse semplicemente una reazione un po' insoddisfatta per un prodotto un po' troppo acclamato, ma è davvero una buona base per ogni giorno, e anche se anche la tonalità più chiara offerta è troppo scura per me, ne sto amando la texture e il finish soprattutto se applicata con un pennello dalle setole dense. Infine il rossetto che sto amando al momento è il Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Lovelight (€19,50), in una bellissima tonalità rosa pescata con degli shimmer e un colore molto sheer che sto indossando davvero quasi ogni giorno perchè è molto comodo e leggero e dura sulle labbra anche qualche buona ora. Porta un leggero e delicato tocco di colore alla lebbra e lascia sempre il mio makeup fresco, avendo comunque una delle migliori formule che abbia mai provato, quindi ne sono decisamente una fan.

Another favorite this month has to be my trip to London, of which you can find more in my first travel diary and which was seriously the best part of my month and one of the best things that happened in my life lately. Now that March is over I just can't wait to see what April will bring with, hopefully it would be even better than March!

Un altro preferito del mese deve essere il mio viaggio a Londra, su cui potete leggere di più nel mio primo travel diary e che è stato davvero la migliore parte del mese e una delle più belle cose che mi sono successe di recente. Ora che marzo è finito non vedo l'ora di scoprire cosa ci riserverà Aprile, sperando che possa essere anche migliore del mese appena passato!
