I went a bit blush crazy

I've never been a bronzing or contouring powder girl, but being that pale girl as I am and as my cheeks never naturally blush, I'm always craving a bit of color on those face of mine and blush have always been my bestfriends since I firstly dip one's toes into makeup back in my teenager days. I remember my dad picking up my first blush ever with me, and it was a not that flattering terracotta shade with a tun of golden shimmers running through it that I would never wear nowadays but at those times was perfect to suit my not that picky necessities. But now things have changed, I became a little bit obsessed and have built up quite a collection... these are a few of my favorites!

Non sono mai stata una ragazza da bronzer o contouring, ma essendo molto pallida e visto che non arrissisco praticamente mai, bramo da sempre un po' di colore sul viso e i blush sono sempre stati i miei migliori amici già quando iniziai a truccarmi per le prime volte. Mi ricordo mio papà scegliere il mio primo blush con me, ed era una tonalità di terracotta non troppo adatta a me con un marea di shimmer dorati che oggigiorno non indosserei mai, ma che a quei tempi era perfetto per le mie esigenze non troppo pretenziose. Ma ora le cose sono cambiate, sono diventata una fan dei blush e ho costruito una piccola collezione... e questi sono alcuni dei miei preferiti!

Travel makeup bag.

It's a bit unsual I share the content of my makeup bag on here, since I pratically never do it, but I thought it could be quite nice to show you what I'm bringing with me for a few days out of the country, because it shows which products I prefer and trust blindly and which makeup I choose if I have to pack very light. Since I'm going to do nothing too fancy, I don't really need a lot of makeup such as beautiful eyeshadows or a lot of lipsticks, this is more something I would wear everyday to look presentable and go out.

E' abbastanza inusuale che io qui sul blog condivida il contenuto della mia makeup bag, dato che praticamente non è mai successo, ma ho pensato potesse essere un'idea carina mostrare cosa ho portato con me per stare cinque giorni fuori dall'Italia, poiché credo possa mostrare quali prodotti davvero preferisco e di quali mi fido ciecamente, quali prediligo se devo viaggiare leggera. Dato che non farò niente di troppo formale, non porto con me chissà quanto makeup come ombretti e rossetti di ogni genere, si tratta più di una makeup bag per look quotidiani e per risultare presentabile prima di uscire.

Best of 2013 - Makeup and Tools.

I promised the first 2014 posts would have been a 'Best of 2013' series, and here we are with the first of two post about the best beauty products of the past year. 2013 has been a beauty-full year, and I discovered a lot of new makeup items I loved and really enjoyed wearing all year around; so I'll mention the ones of them I liked the most and I think are actually the best makeup products I used in this passed year.

Ho promesso che i primi post del 2014 sarebbero stati la serie 'Best of 2013', ed eccoci qui con il primo di due post dedicati ai migliori prodotti dell'anno passato. Il 2013 è stato un anno bellissimo anche sotto questo punto di vista, e ho scoperto un sacco di nuovi prodotti di makeup che ho imparato ad amare e ho indossato tutto l'anno; quindi menzionerò quelli che più mi sono piaciuti e che penso possano meritarsi il titolo di migliori prodotti di makeup dell'anno appena passato.

Review: TheBalm Instain Long Wearing Blush in Swiss Dot.

Since I have such a pale and plain face, one of my main makeup problems is always been how to make my blush stay on my cheeks all day long. I tried everything, from powder to cream blushes, but nothing lasted more than 5/6 hours on me. For this reason, when these TheBalm blushes came out, I just couldn't say no to them. There's such a good range of gorgeous colors, that it was so difficult to choose which one I wanted; in the end I went for Swiss Dot, the type of color I always wear the most. My only worry was that, since it was in a color I use a lot, I may could have had another blush in the same shade, but luckly I didn't.

Dato che ho una pelle molto chiara e un colorito piuttosto smorto, uno dei miei principali problemi cosmetici è sempre stato come far resistere il blush sulle guance per parecchie ore. Ho provato un po' di tutto, dai prodotti in polvere a quelli cremosi, ma niente è mai durato più di 5/6 ore su di me. Per questa ragione, quando questi blush TheBalm uscirono, non sono proprio riuscita a resistervi. C'è una così vasta disponibilità di meravigliosi colori, che è stato davvero difficile fare una sola scelta; alla fine ho optato per Swiss Dot, la tipologia di colore che indosso da sempre più spesso. La mia unica preoccupazione era se, dato che questo è il colore che uso di più, avessi già nel mio cassetto un altro blush troppo simile o identico, ma fortunatamente non è così.

September favorites.

It's already that time of the month when I have to think back and individuate my favorite beauty products of that period. September was my birthday's month and, thanks to some amazing birthday presents, I could try new stuff and fall in love with them. E' già arrivato il momento di pensare al mese passato e individuare i preferiti di quel mese, i prodotti che più ho utilizzato durante settembre. Settembre è stato il mese del mio compleanno, e, grazie ad alcuni fantastici regali, ho potuto provare alcuni nuovi prodotti e, di molti, me ne sono potuta innamorare. In questo post troverete principalmente novità (per quel che mi riguarda), quelle che più mi sono piaciute.

Birthday beauty haul.

Yesterday I finally picked up my last birthday gifts, and since there're some beauty bits I'm excited about, I thought I could share my beauty related birthday presents with you. Let's say I like doing beauty shopping all year around, but my birthday was the best time to have a little treat for myself and try some expensive products I wasn't brave enough to invest in, if not for a special occasion, but still some of them were in my wishlist for a long time. What better occasion to empty your wishlist if not your birthday?!

Ieri ho finalmente potuto raccimolare tutti i miei regali di compleanno, e dato che ci sono dei prodotti beauty di cui sono particolarmente entusiasta, ho pensato di convidire con voi i regali che ho ricevuto/mi sono fatta che riguardano il mondo del beauty. Diciamo che mi piace comprare prodotti di makeup e skincare tutto l'anno, però il compleanno è quell'occasione perfetta per concedersi qualche sfizio in più e dunque provare dei prodotti costosi che non sono mai stata abbastanza coraggiosa di compare in altri momenti, ma che comunque (alcuni di loro) hanno alloggiato nella mia wishlist per parecchio tempo. Quale occasione migliore per svuotare le wishlist, se non il compleanno?!
