First things first, for the ones of you who don't already know, I'm italian and I obv live in Italy, and unfortunately here we don't have access to a lot of brands that are sold in the UK or in the USA. Secondly by the time this post will go online, I'll be on a plane to London and I'll be there five days, and of course I need to do some beauty shopping after years and years of growing my wishlist while reading UK based bloggers praising about beauty brands I can only dream about. I passed these past two months writing down what I always wanted to try out, and let me tell you this, my wishlist was GINORMOUS. I managed to drain it a bit considering which products I can still buy online and which are more difficult to get that way, and finally I came out with this not that short list of items I really want to come home with me. We'll see if it'll be possible (unfortunately, even if I saved some money for this trip, I have a very limited budget, plus I only have a hand luggage with all the restrictions that come with it) and, if not, which products I'm going to leave there. But for now, please let me dream.
Dunque, nel momento in cui questo post andrà online sarò su un aereo direzione Londra e sarò lì per cinque giorni, e chiaramente, essendo italiana e vivendo in Italia dove certi beauty brand ce li sogniamo, non mancherà dello shopping di makeup e prodotti di bellezza in generale per colmare quei vuoti dovuti alle blogger inglesi e alle loro contagiose parole. Ho passato questi due mesi a scrivere una lista di prodotti che ho sempre voluto provare e che vorrei acquistare, e lasciatemelo dire, era ENORME. Ho cercato di snellirla il più possibile considerando quali prodotti posso sempre comprare online e quali no, e infine ne è uscita una lista non troppo corta di prodotti che vorrei far tornare a casa con me. Vedremo se sarà possibile (sfortunatamente, sebbene abbia risparmiato per questo viaggio, ho un budget molto limitato, e in più viaggio con un bagaglio a mano con tutte le restrizioni sui liquidi che ne conseguono), o altrimenti, quali prodotti dovrò lasciar lì. Ma per il momento lasciatemi sognare.
1. Aurelia is one of those brands that always intrigued me with all their sophisticated packagings and the very interesting natural ingredient lists. I've always read good things about the Aurelia Miracle Cleanser (34£), a creamy cleanser with chamomile, eucalyptus, rosemary and bergamot (I am so curious about its scent!), which should help in brightening the complexion and leaving your skin very hydrated. I'm a sucker for cleanser, you may know that, but I can't deny I'm pretty attracted also by their oil and serum offerings. Maybe I'll need to leave Aurelia in the UK this time, due to limited budget, but I'll make sure to give a sniff to all these products, which could be also the perfect excuse to have a trip into Liberty, which sounds like a dreamy beauty paradise.
1. Aurelia è uno di quei brand che mi ha sempre intrigato per via dei loro packaging sofisticati e delle loro super interessanti e naturali liste degli ingredienti. Ho sempre letto buonissime cose sul detergente Aurelia Miracle Cleanser (34£), un cleanser cremoso con camomilla, eucalipto, rosmarino e bergamotto (sono davvero curiosa di sentire di cosa profuma!), che dovrebbe aiutare a ravvivare e rinfrescare l'incarnato lasciando la pelle molto idratata al tempo stesso. Forse già saprete quanto amo i detergenti, ma non posso negare di essere attratta anche dalle loro proposte per olio e siero viso. Forse dovrò lasciare Aurelia in UK questa volta a causa del budget limitato, ma di certo andrò ad annusare tutti i loro prodotti, che può anche essere una buona scusa per entrare da Liberty, che suona molto come il paradiso delle beauty addicts.
2. I feel like a trip into Selfriges is pretty mandatory, and one of the brands I won't miss is of course Jurlique, which as Aurelia offers a tun of interesting products, but the ones that really call my name are their water mists, and if I have to nominate one I would say the Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist (21,50£), ideal for normal to combination skin types, which should smell amazing like a roses bouquet. Their powder is second on my list, but with Jurlique I think I'm going to let my heart decide, since I know there's something between their offerings that is going to make me fall in love.
2. Credo che un'escursione da Selfriges sia piuttosto obbligatoria, e uno dei brand che non mi perderò è sicuramente Jurlique, che come Aurelia offre molti prodotti interessanti, ma quelli che più mi intrigano sono i loro idrolati, in particolare il Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist (21,50£), ideale per pelli normali e miste, che dovrebbe profumare come un bouquet di rose. La loro cipria è seconda nella mia lista, ma con Jurlique penso lascerò la scelta all'ultimo secondo, dato che già sento ci sarà qualcosa che mi farà innamorare tra le loro proposte.
3. Origins is the skincare brand I dream about every night (beauty junky needs rehab), it's one of those brands that are pretty damn difficult to get here and I can't loose the opportunity to give all the products a look face to face, then decide which one(s) will come home with me. I'm already sure I'll pick up the Origins Plantscription Concealer (17£) since it's on my wishlist since forever and I just urgently need a new concealer. My puffy morning eyes always wanted to try the feeling of something like the Origins No Puffery Cooling Roll-On for Puffy Eyes (24£), a cooling treatment that aims to instantly help reducing eye puffiness and dark circles. Finally on the mask front my combination skin often dreams about the Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask (22£) in summertime when it start to be on the oily side, a mask that promises to really go deeply under your skin and clean all those clogged pores and dissolve impurities.

Makeup-wise Bobbi Brown is of course on top of my list, in particular I won't leave without the Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer (18,50£), which should be the king of rich creamy concealers that blend easly and leave an ethereal texture on the skin. The truth is I don't really know if I'll be that brave to don't look to anything else, since I already picture myself musing about whether to buy or not to buy this amazing lipstick in Rosy (and for this I'm going to blame both Jenn and Estée) or one of their blushes.

Sul fronte makeup Bobbi Brown è ovviamente in cima alla lista, in particolare non partirò senza il Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer (18,50£), che dovrebbe essere il re dei correttori ricchi e cremosi che si sfumano con facilità e lasciano una texture eterea sulla pelle. La verità è che non so se avrò così tanta forza di volontà per non guardare altro, dato che già mi vedo a valutare i pro e i non-contro di un acquisto come questo favoloso rossetto nella tonalità Rosy (e per questo incolpo solo Jenn ed Estée) o uno dei loro blush.
5. After reading a tun of reviews about rosehip oil, I finally decided is time to pick up one of them and see how it works on my skin. The Pai offering is pretty interesting, but I read the Trilogy Certified Organic Rosehip Oil (16,50£) is great as well. Rosehip oil should help with scars a lot but also is a nice nourishment for your skin to improve your skincare routine with.
5. Dopo aver letto forse troppe review sul rosehip oil, ho infine deciso che è tempo di acquistarlo e vedere se funziona su di me. La proposta di Pai è piuttosto interessante, ma ho letto che anche il Trilogy Certified Organic Rosehip Oil (16,50£) pare essere molto buono. L'olio di rosa canina dovrebbe aiutare con le cicatrici ma essere allo stesso tempo un buon nutrimento per la pelle per perfezionare la propria skincare routine.
6. I can't even say how many bloggers raise about the Una Brennan Superfacialist Rose Intense Moisture Mask (8,99£): it's meant to be an amazing skin treatment and a very budget-friendly product at the same time, it should be suitable for even the most sensitive skin types and help really hydrate your skin like no others. I'm so curious about it that I bet I won't leave the UK without it for no reason as soon as I'll have the chance to see it with my own eyes. However all their masks are pretty interesting and I'm not quite sure about which one will be my choice yet, we'll see.
6. Non so nemmeno dire quante blogger ormai hanno adulato la maschera Una Brennan Superfacialist Rose Intense Moisture Mask (8,99£): è pensata per essere un trattamento super efficace ma allo stesso tempo un prodotto amico del portafogli, dovrebbe essere adatto a tutti i tipi di pelle e aiutare a idratare a fondo come nessun altro sa fare. Sono molto curiosa e scommetto che non la lascerò in UK per nessuna ragione appena avrò la possibilità di vederla di persona. Comunque le loro maschere sono tutte piuttosto interessanti e non sono ancora troppo sicura di quale sarà la mia scelta. Vedremo.
7. Oh well, Real Techiniques is one of those brands that nowadays are pretty easy to get online, but a little brush won't hurt any...thing in my suitcase, right? Since they launched their new brushes I decided I'll be back on the eyeliner front with the new Real Techniques Silicone Liner Brush (5,09£); this brush is the only one that really caught my eyes in between the new line (I don't love retractable brushes) and to me sounds like a very innovative and maybe successful idea to get a more precise line out of those gel eyeliners. I'm also pretty intrigued by their Multi Task Brush, which should be now sold singly (if I'm not wrong), their sponge and their blush brush.
7. Oh beh, Real Techniques non è sicuramente uno dai brand difficili da reperire qui in Italia ormai dato che online si trova un po' ovunque, ma un piccolo pennello non farà del male a nessuno nella mia valigia, o sbaglio? Quando hanno lanciato i loro nuovi pennelli ho subito deciso che sarei tornata ad indossare l'eyeliner in gel solo con e grazie al nuovo Real Techniques Silicone Liner Brush (6,42€); questo pennello è l'unico che mi interessa della nuova linea (non sono una fan dei pennelli retrattili) e secondo me può essere qualcosa di davvero innovativo e magari anche un'idea ben riuscita per ottenere linee precise con l'eyeliner in gel. Sono anche molto affascinata dal loro Multi Task Brush, che dovrebbe essere ora venduto singolarmente (se non sbaglio), la loro spugnetta e il loro pennello da blush.
8. Bourjois is pretty easy to get here too if ordering online, however there's nothing like swatching the products on your own hands in a shop and finding your perfect foundation base. Since Bourjois is known to be the best with its bases, and since I never tried any of them, I thought I could give their new Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream (9,99€) e Bourjois CC Eye Cream (7,99£) a go, and hopefully I can get my perfect shade, which is always a problem when shopping online. A clever thing to do in my opinion is to swatch also their other bases to get an idea of their color palettes, making my future online purchases a lot more easy.
8. Bourjois è anch'esso abbastanza reperibile qui se si ordina online, ma non c'è niente di similare allo swatchare i prodotti sulle proprie mani in un negozio fisico e trovare la tonalità di fondotinta perfetta. Dato che Bourjois è conosciuto per essere il migliore nelle basi, e dato che non ne ho ancora provata nemmeno una, ho pensato che potrei dare un'occasione alle nuove Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream (14,03€) e Bourjois CC Eye Cream (11,22€), e incrociando le dita, di trovare anche la mia tonalità perfetta, che quando si fa shopping online è sempre un problema. Una cosa intelligente che vorrei fare è swatchare anche le altre loro basi così da farmi un'idea delle loro tonalità e rendermi la vita più semplice per futuri acquisti online.
9. Boots Botanics is a brand I discovered only recently but which really intrigues me due to their almost completely organic ingredient lists and the really affordable price tags. The two products I won't miss out are the Botanics 93% Organic Super Balm (4,99£) and the Botanics 93% Organic Hydratin Eye Cream (8,99£). The former is a very interesting balm offering packed with a big amount of natural butters and oils like shea butter, jojoba oil, rosehip oil and sweet almond oil, and to me sound a great multi-porpose product to bring around in my purse to deeply hydrate dry patches on my face and body or dehydrated cuticles. The latter aims to be a lightweight but very nourishing eye cream containing rosehip oil, which should sink into the skin quickly and help with lines and dark circles.
9. Boots Botanics è un brand che ho scoperto solo di recente ma che già mi affascina molto a causa delle loro liste degli ingredienti quasi completamente bio e i loro prezzi molto economici. I due prodotti che non mi farò scappare sono il Botanics 93% Organic Super Balm (4,99£) e la Botanics 93% Organic Hydratin Eye Cream (8,99£). Il primo è un balsamo molto interessante che contiene una grande quantità di burri e oli naturali come burro di karitè, olio di jojoba, olio di rosa canina e olio di mandorla dolce, e che secondo me può essere un ottimo prodotto multi-uso da tendere in borsa e applicare quando si sente il bisogno di idratare in profondità zone secche del viso e del corpo o, perchè no, delle cuticole disidratate. Il secondo promette di essere una crema occhi leggera ma molto nutriente che contiene olio di rosa canina, e che dovrebbe assorbirsi velocemente e aiutare con le rughette e le occhiaie.
10. I really like the sound of a lot of Soap & Glory products, the trio you see in the picture is just a small amount I extrapolate from my bigger wishlist; they are the Soap & Glory Kick Ass Concealer (10£), a three in one concealer pot containing an under eye offering, a blemish concealer and a translucent powder to fix them. I read a lot of reviews on this one and all of them are pretty enthusiastic so I can't miss it out. Then the Soap & Glory Scrubatomic Amazing Daily Face Polish (9£), a foamy face scrub which should be very gentle to be used from 4 to 7 days a week, and the Soap & Glore No Clogs Allowed Mask (11,50£), a deeply purfying facial detox mask perfect for combination to oily skins. However, as I said, my list is pretty long, their makeup sounds all amazing to me.
10. Non so voi, ma io sono affascinata da come suonano i prodotti Soap & Glory, e il trio che vedete nell'immagine sopra è solamente un piccolo mucchietto estrapolato da una wishlist monomarca ben più lunga; si tratta del Soap & Glory Kick Ass Concealer (10£), un prodotto tre in uno contenente un correttore per la zona occhi, uno per le imperfezioni e una polvere traslucida per fissarli. Ho letto un sacco di review sul suo conto ed erano tutte piuttosto entusiaste quindi non posso farmelo scappare. Poi il Soap & Glory Scrubatomic Amazing Daily Face Polish (9£), uno scrub viso schiumoso che dovrebbe essere abbastanza delicato da poterlo usare da 4 a 7 giorni a settimana, e la Soap & Glore No Clogs Allowed Mask (11,50£), una maschera purificante per pelli miste e grasse. Comunque, come ho detto, la mia lista è lunghissima, il loro makeup lo comprerei tutto.
11. What is missing in my skincare routine is a good hydrating serum, and the Hydraluron Moisture Booster (24,99£) sounds like what I always looked for, plus it's a so hyped product that now I'm very curious to try it. This little sample kit however really intrigues me: it contains three different serum by Indeed Labs, the Nanoblur, the Snoxin and the famous Hydraluron. It could be the perfect way to try three different product out.
11. Quello che manca nella mia skincare routine è un buon siero idratante, e il Hydraluron Moisture Booster (24,99£) pare essere la miglior offerta sul mercato e ciò di cui ho bisogno, e poi è così elogiato che sono davvero curiosa di provarlo. Questo piccolo sample kit è però molto interessante: contiene tre diversi sieri da casa Indeed Labs, il Nanoblur, il Snoxin e il famoso e già citato Hydraluron. Potrebbe essere il modo perfetto per provare tre prodotti diversi in una volta.
12. Lastly but not at least I'm going to bring home a good amount of english magazines, first on my list is Allure, the beauty magazine every beauty blogger wants in her life. Here in Italy there's nothing similar, and the idea of a magazine completely dedicated to beauty really blows me away. I also want to pick up a Porter Magazine as well, and I read that also the Boots Health and Beauty Magazine should be a quite good read. Please tell me if you think I need to pick up some other good beauty and fashion (or food!) related magazine I'm missing out!
12. Ultimo ma non per importanza, non tornerò a casa senza un bel mucchietto di riviste inglesi, e la prima della lista è Allure, la rivista completamente dedicata alla bellezza che ogni beauty addict vorrebbe nella sua vita. Qui in Italia non mi pare ci sia nulla di simile, e non so a voi, ma l'idea di una rivista completamente dedicata a makeup, skincare e compagnia bella mi esalta parecchio. Voglio anche prendere una copia del Porter Magazine, e infine ho letto buone cose anche sul Boots Health and Beauty Magazine.
This is a little fraction of my wishlist (oh God, it's huge), and some of the brands I didn't mention are Liz Earle, Charlotte Tilbury, Charles Worthington, Collection 2000, Barry M, Aesop and a lot more, not mentioning I want to pick up some drugstore mascaras since they are a lot cheaper in the UK than here.
Also I wanted to say I scheduled this week's posts since I'm going to be in London all week and I've no time to write and publish them here, so yes, I'm still posting but I can't assure I can reply to all your comments immediately, but I'm surely going to read and approve all of them. This is my best, sorry! - and apologies for this ginormous wishlist.
Questa era una piccola frazione della mia wishlist (quella originale è veramente vergognosa), e alcuni dei brand che non ho menzionato sono Liz Earle, Charlotte Tilbury, Charles Worthington, Collection 2000, Barry M, Aesop e molti altri, senza dire che voglio acquistare qualche mascara (soprattutto L'Oreal) dato che in UK non hanno i prezzi esorbitanti che hanno qui.
Volevo anche dirvi che ho programmato i post di questa settimana dato che sarò appunto a Londra e non avrò tempo di scrivere e pubblicare di persona, quindi sì, posterò comunque, ma non posso assicurare che sarò in grado di rispondere a tutti i vostri commenti nell'immediato, ma sicuramente li leggerò e approverò tutti. Questo è il massimo che posso fare, scusate! - e chiedo scusa per la wishlist e il post enorme ed interminabile.
