Have a green head #1

As I already said way too many times lately (here and here), one of my new year's resolutions was to be a better hair owner, love it more, and use way more natural hair products in 2014 than I did in my past life. My hair needs a vacation from hair dyes (bye NH3!), parabens, mineral oil, heat and all that jazz. Here is where I got the insane idea to keep a monthly hair diary to share with you my completely new experience, talk about some hair products I'm using and whether I like them or not, and yes to have an excuse to talk about hair more often, and above all to make this whole thing I'm doing for my hair official. Hopefully, if everything goes as planned, every month you'll see a new update under the "Have a green head" lab, otherwise... please, beat me.

Come ho già accennato davvero troppe volte di recente (qui e qui), uno dei miei propositi per il nuovo anno è quello di essere una migliore padroncina per i miei capelli, amarli di più, e usare molti più prodotti naturali nel 2014 di quello che ho fatto nella mia vita passata. I miei capelli hanno bisogno di una lunga pausa dalle tinte (ciao ciao NH3!), dai parabeni, dalla paraffina, dall'eccessivo calore eccetera eccetera. E' così che mi è venuta la malsana idea di tenere un diario mensile per condividere con voi la mia nuovissima esperienza, parlare dei prodotti per capelli che sto usando e dirvi se mi piacciono o no, e sì, anche per avere una scusa per parlare più spesso di capelli da queste parti, ma soprattutto per rendere il progetto ufficiale. Se tutto va secondo i piani, ogni mese vedrete un nuovo aggiornamento della rubrica "Have a green head", altrimenti... picchiatemi.

Top 5 Gone Too Soon Products.

You may already know the Dramatags, so I won't say a lot about them, but since in the italian beauty blogger's world they're pretty famous now, when Drama came out with a contest, I had to take part and try mentioning my ideas about a possible future Dramatag theme; this Dramatag was inspired by one of my ideas, so I just needed to write my version down as soon as possible. The thing is nominating five beauty products you love so much that you simply can't stop using and finishing really fast, so fast that you hate how soon they're gone everytime. I was pretty good in this: my instinct would have nominated only skincare products, but thinking about it I could actually find a pair of makeup products and one body product to be featured too.

Probabilmente già conoscete tutte i Dramatag, quindi non ci spenderò più molte parole, ma quando Drama lanciò il suo contest, ho dovuto partecipare e proporre le mie idee per un possibile futuro Dramatag; questo tag è infatti ispirato da una delle mie idee (!), quindi dovevo necessariamente rispondere al più presto. Bisogna questa volta nominare cinque prodotti che si amano così tanto che non si riesce a smettere di utilizzarli, tanto che finiscono davvero troppo in fretta, così in fretta che si odia con quanta velocità se ne vadano. Sono stata piuttosto brava questa volta: il mio istinto mi avrebbe portato a nominare solo prodotti di skincare, ma pensandoci su sono riuscita a trovare anche un paio di prodotti di makeup e un prodotto per il corpo da mostrarvi.

Review: Lush Let The Good Times Roll (Maisenza).

We all know I'm a bit of a cleanser junkie, cleansers are just my favorite skincare products to buy, test, use; Lush Let The Good Times Roll was released in the 2012 Lush Christmas collection, everyone was so enthusiastic about it, and it sounded such an amazing product since the first reviews appeared online. In Italy it was the most discussed product when it was discontinued at the end of the Christmas period, and I was just so angry with myself for not buying it immediately (I always found it sold out, and since Lush boutiques are not anywhere near me, it was a bit of a struggle finding it). Lush made it reappear on the market last Christmas, which made me very happy since I read the first rumors about it being still avaiable but also meant to be included in the permanent line. Since I wasn't sure, I went ahead and bought three jar of it during my first Lush trip this Christmas, so that even if it would have been sold out soon or discontinued, I'd had a good stock. Luckly it is a permanent product right now, because I almost finished my stock and I'm so in love that I couldn't live without it anymore. Don't even know how could I live without before, don't ask me.

Sappiamo tutti che sono un po' ossessionata dai detergenti, i cleanser sono la mia tipologia di prodotto preferito da compare, testare e usare; Lush Let The Good Times Roll/ Maisenza fu lanciato nella collezione natalizia del 2012 la prima volta, e tutti erano così entusiasti che sin dalle prime recensioni apparse online sembrava un prodotto fantastico. Si è discusso molto quando Lush ha annunciato che fosse un'edizione limitata e che non si sarebbe quindi più visto dopo il periodo natalizio, e io mi sono arrabbiata con me stessa per non averlo acquistato subito (lo trovavo sempre esaurito, e dato che le botteghe Lush non sono esattamente affianco a casa mia, era un po' impossibile trovarlo). Lush l'ha fatto riapparire per la gioia di tutti nella collezione del Natale appena passato, che mi ha reso molto felice sia quando ho saputo del suo ritorno, sia quando sono iniziate a girare voci sul fatto che sarebbe entrato in permanente. Dato che non ero sicura ne ho comprate ben tre jar al primo turno di shopping da Lush, così che sia nel caso si esaurisse, sia che fosse invece un edizione limitata, avessi comunque avuto una buona scorta. Fortunatamente è al momento nella linea permanente, perchè altrimenti, dato che sto finendo l'ultima jar e che ne sono innamorata, non so come potrei vivere. E no, non chiedetemi nemmeno come allora vivevo prima di provarlo, non ne ho idea.

Empties #4

In these past months I've unconsciously accumulated a lot of empties products, forgetting about them in a big bag and rembembering only too late. I thought it could be the best way to start brushing up on my old but always good blog columns I left behind, beginning, of course, with the "Empties" one, but giving it a new look. With that being said, I'll show you my most recent products I used up, which will include either hair, body, skin and makeup products.

In questi ultimi mesi ho accumulato quasi inconsciamente un mucchio di prodotti terminati, dimenticandomi di loro un una grossa borsa e ricordandomene solo troppo tardi. Ho pensato però che potesse essere l'occasione perfetta per rispolverare le mie vecchie (ma sempre buone) rubriche sul blog, ad iniziare chiaramente con "Empties", ma donandole un nuovo look. Ciò detto, vi mostrerò i prodotti che ho terminato di recente, che questa volta includono sia prodotti di skincare, haircare, bodycare e makeup.

Best of 2013 - Skincare & Co.

Last week I talked about my makeup favorites of the whole past year, and I promised you I'd have written another post for the series: this is the time of sharing my skincare, body care and others favorites of 2013. The past year was the year of skincare discovering to me, I finally understood how important taking care of my skin is, and I became a bit obsesses with skincare products, so much that they're pretty much the main thing I get so excited in buying; I love trying out skincare products, and you maybe have already understood it by the quantity of skincare post I write on the blog. Better saying I went a bit skincare products crazy in 2013 and I just enjoyed a lot picking up my favorites from the bunch! Here they are.

La scorsa settimana ho parlato dei miei prodotti di makeup preferiti dell'intero anno appena passato, e vi ho promesso che avrei scritto un altro post per la stessa serie: questa volta condividerò i miei prodotti di skincare, body care e altri preferiti del 2013. Lo scorso anno è stato per me quello della scoperta della skincare, ho finalmente capito a pieno quanto sia importante prendersi cura della pelle, e sono diventata un po' ossessionata dai prodotti di skincare, così tanto che sono la principale fonte di entusiasmo quando acquisto prodotti beauty related; amo provarne di nuovi, e forse ve ne siete già accorte per via della quantità industriale di post ad essi dedicati che pubblico sul blog. Meglio dire subito che ho un po' esagerato con i prodotti di skincare nel 2013, ma mi sono anche divertita a selezionare i miei preferiti dal gruppo! Ed eccoli qui.

Lush Father Christmas (Faccia da Babbo)

It's not a news I was introduced to Lush products just recently, and that I couldn't resist in trying a "few" of their Christmas collection's items; thanks to some Lush ballistics I'm rediscovering the pleasure of having a warm bath in wintertime, and now I could be a little obsessed, just a little. Lush Father Christmas (3,95£) is one of the Christmas ballistics I tested out in my bathroom just a few weeks ago, and since it's so Christmassy and festive, I immediately thought it could be a perfect stocking filler; I know Christmas is like tomorrow now, but there's always someone like me who is terribly late on Christmas shopping, right?

Non è una novità che io sia piuttosto nuova sul fronte Lush, e nemmeno che non sia riuscita a resistere a provare "un po'" di prodotti della loro adorabile collezione natalizia; grazie ad alcune ballistiche Lush sto riscoprendo il piacere di fare un bagno caldo durante l'inverno, e ora potrei essere un pochino ossessionata dalla cosa, solo un pochino. Lush Faccia da Babbo (5,95€) è una delle ballistiche natalizie che ho testato nella mia vasca da bagno solo qualche settimana fa, e dato che è perfetta per questo periodo di festività, ho immediatamente pensato che sarebbe potuta essere un perfetto pensierino di Natale, o altresì detto un perfetto "stocking filler"; lo so che Natale è praticamente domani ormai, ma c'è sempre qualcuno come me terribilmente in ritardo con lo shopping natalizio, vero?

Pampering Routine #1 | Winter Edition

As I already said once, I prefer showers to baths, but wintertime is the perfect excuse to make an exception and relax in your bathtube with a good amount of bubble and a big portion of lovely scents sorrounding you for an aromatherapy session. Also, I recently did a big Lush order online, since I just couldn't resist to the Christmas collection's beauty, and had to have all those cute bath ballistic. I think this year I could actually rediscover the pleasure of having a warm bath when it's damn cold outside; it immediately took a place in my Sunday pampering routine.

Come ho già accennato in passato, di solito preferisco la doccia alla vasca da bagno, ma il freddo invernale è la perfetta scusa per fare un'eccezione e rilassarsi nella vasca con un bel po' di schiuma e una grande quantità di profumi a circondarti per una perfetta sessione di aromaterapia. Inoltre di recente ho fatto un "piccolo" ordine Lush online, perché proprio non potevo resistere alla collezione natalizia, e dovevo avere tutte quelle adorabili ballistiche. Penso che quest'anno potrei anche riscoprire il piacere di fare un bagno caldo quando fuori fa dannatamente freddo; la vasca si è immediatamente accaparrata un posto nella mia pampering routine della domenica.

November '13 favorites.

November not only brought the worst winter cold weather here in Milan, but also a lot of news in my makeup and beauty experience: I tried a lot of new products and tested brands I never used before, and I'm really happy to include most of them in this favorites post, since this means I loved a lot of my recent purchases. So here they are, my November favorites.

Novembre non solo ha portato con sé la più schifezza di condizioni atmosferiche che esistano qui a Milano, ma anche moltissime novità in fatto di makeup e beauty per quanto riguarda me in prima persona: ho provato molti nuovi prodotti e testato nuovi brand mai provati prima, e sono felice di includere molti di questi prodotti in questo post dei preferiti, dato che significa che sto amando i miei acquisti più recenti. Quindi eccoli qui, i miei preferiti di novembre!

Yumtastic scents.

It's been a long time I wanted to write this post, but I preferred publishing other typology of posts before this one since it can suit every season. You all maybe already know I'm a junkie when it comes to beauty products with a yummy and delicious scent, and since I have a lot of product with a good scent, I wanted to select the top 5 (because I couldn't pick only three) best smelling products in my collection, in particular the ones that have a yummy food scents, my favorites! I don't know if there's already a tag like this in the beauty blogger world, and I know it's not that original and ingenious, so if someone already did it, let me know, and I'll mention him/her here!

Era da molto tempo che volevo scrivere questo post, ma ho preferito dare la precedenza ad altri prima di questo, dato che almeno lui può adattarsi ad ogni stagione. Forse saprete già che sono una fan dei prodotti di bellezza che profumano deliziosamente, soprattutto se odorano di cibo, e dato che ho moltissimi prodotti del genere, ho voluto selezionarne una top 5 (perchè non riuscivo a sceglierne solo tre) dei prodotti dal profumo più buono, in particolare quelli che ricordano deliziosi profumi di cibo, i miei preferiti! Non so se esista un tag del genere, ma dato che non è per nulla originare o ingegnoso immagino di sì, però di recente non mi è parso di averne letti di simili, quindi se qualcuno l'ha già proposto fatemelo sapere, che lo/la menzionerò qui!

October favorites.

October was a busy month but beauty-wise I was lucky to try a lot of new products, some of which are immediately became my new favorites, and of course, they went directly into my daily routine: this month I was loyal to only a few products, but they are pretty good and, you know, you can see how a product actually really impressed you, when you start using it everyday, preferring it to every other favorite of yours.

Ottobre è stato un mese piuttosto impegnato, ma sul fronte cosmetico ho avuto la fortuna di provare molti nuovi prodotti, alcuni dei quali sono diventati immediatamente preferiti, e chiaro, sono finiti direttamente nella mia routine quotidiana: questo mese sono stata fedele solo a pochi prodotti, ma sono davvero buoni e, si sa, si vede quanto si è realmente impressionato da un nuovo prodotto, quando lo si inizia ad utilizzare ogni giorno, preferendolo perfino a qualsiasi altro suo precedente.

Recently I get a bit too much excited about new launches in the beauty world, and, as a consequence, I happened to spend my money in some of them, since I just can't resist change my beauty stash when it comes a new season. You all maybe already know Lush launched its Christmas limited edition, or Bourjois came out with some cool and innovative products, and when you get to see them in the shop and/or it comes an ASOS' discount code in you email box, how can you say no?!

Recentemente mi lascio un po' troppo entusiasmare dai nuovi lanci nel mondo cosmetico, e, come conseguenza, è involontariamente e casualmente capitato che spendessi soldi in alcuni di essi, dato che non so effettivamente resistere ad allargare e rinnovare la mia selezione di prodotti beauty quando la stagione cambia. Probabilmente sapete già tutte che Lush ha lanciato la sua collezione nataliazia, o che Bourjois se n'è uscito con dei nuovi prodotti interessanti e innovativi, e be', quando poi li vedi dal vivo e/o ti arrivano sconti ASOS via mail, come puoi dir di no?!
