I said I was going to be completely back on the nails front, and here I am talking about nail polishes just a few days later. Last week I took part of the Fabulous Faby event, a beautiful launch of the new Faby spring and summer collection. I have to admit the best part of the whole thing was not the chocolate cupcakes, the complete manicure, or being surrounded by vibrant colors, but mainly having the chance to know some lovely beauty bloggers there. But yes, the cupcakes, the colors and the complete manicure made it even better.
Vi avevo avvisate che sarei tornata sul fronte unghie, ed infatti eccomi qui a parlarvi di smalti solo pochi giorni più tardi. La scorsa settimana ho preso parte all'evento Fabulous Faby, il meraviglioso lancio della nuova collezione primavera/estate di Faby. Devo ammettere che la parte migliore non è sono stati né i cupcake al cioccolato, né la manicure completa, né essere circondata da colori sgargianti, ma piuttosto avere l'opportunità di conoscere altre adorabili beauty blogger. Ma sì, anche i cupcakes, i colori e la manicure hanno fatto la loro parte.

You may know I'm not a huge bright colors girl, I definitely prefer shy nude pinks, deep berries, or neutral colors, so the Fabulous Faby colors are surely out of my comfort-zone, however there are a tun of colors that caught my eyes a few times. When spring comes I'm all about pastel colors, and you can imagine then which colors went directly into my wishlist: Hi Honey!* was the first I saw in the bunch, a beautiful shimmery pale yellow that reminds me of summertime with its all freshness and sweetness. It's not a pure coincidence Hi Honey! was the color I ended to choose for my manicure; it's beautiful even on my pale skin, under sunlight it brings out all its tiny shimmers that make it look even better, and let me just say this quickly: I never tried any Faby nail polish and I didn't know nothing about their formula, but Hi Honey! dried really quickly and stayed on my nails for five days, which for me is a long long time! However it took two coats to have a good pigmentation, but I feel like it's just a problem of lighter shades, because I could see the darker colors in action and they were pretty opaque in one coat. I fell in love with Don't Disturb My Puppy as well, an adorable pastel baby blue that really reminds me of spring cloudless sky; obviously it went directly into my wishlist! Finally I can't wait to try out also Plastic Jewels and Neon Lights*, the beautiful turquoise that I already see giving its best in summertime, and Sugarful*, a super pigmented in one coat white which will come useful to experiment a bit with nail art, french manicure or accent nails.

Saprete già che non sono mai stata una grande fan dei colori troppo accesi, preferisco decisamente dei rosa nude e timidi, dei prugna intensi, oppure dei colori più neutri, quindi le tonalità proposte dalla Fabulous Faby sono di sicuro fuori dalla mia comfort-zone, eppure ci sono stati lo stesso dei colori che hanno attirato la mia attenzione un po' di volte. Quando arriva la primavera sono terribilmente attratta dai colori pastello, e dunque potrete immaginare quali colori sono immediatamente entrati nella mia wishlist: Hi Honey!* è stato il primo che ho notato nel mucchio, un bellissimo giallo pastello pieno di shimmer che mi ricorda inevitabilmente l'estate in tutta la sua freschezza e dolcezza. Non è solo una coincidenza se Hi Honey! è stato anche il colore che ho scelto durante la manicure; è molto bello anche sulla mia pelle pallida, inoltre sotto la luce del sole tira fuori tutti i suoi shimmer che lo fanno brillare e apparire anche più affascinante, e lasciatemelo dire velocemente: non ho mai provato nessuno smalto Faby prima d'ora e non sapevo nulla della loro formula, ma Hi Honey! si è asciugato in un batter d'occhio ed è durato sulle unghie ben cinque giorni, che per me è praticamente incredibile! Sono servite due mani di smalto però per ottenere una buona coprenza, ma penso sia un problema relativo solo alle tonalità più chiare, perchè ho visto anche quelle scure in azione ed erano coprenti già alla prima passata. Mi sono innamorata anche di Don't Disturb My Puppy, un adorabile azzurro pastello che mi ha ricordato il cielo senza nuvole della primavera; nemmeno a dirlo è finito diretto nella mia wishlist! Infine non vedo l'ora di provare anche Plastic Jewels and Neon Lights*, il bellissimo turchese che già riesco a vedermi indossare non-stop quest'estate, e Sugarful*, un bianco super pigmentato in un'unica passata che mi tornerà di certo utile per sperimentare un po' con nail art, french manicure e accent nail.

I said I wanted to stick with dark reds a bit more untill winter officially ends, but this new collection, being immersed in such amazing colors all around, and the spring-ish atmosphere they recreate, make me want to go toward spring even faster to wear such colorful shades. I'm definitely still more into darker, more romantic colors (see the Eclectic collection and you'll know what I mean), however I find the Fabulous Faby collection is definitely very complete, with a huge variety of colors, from pale and pastels to brighter shades, from the more casual to the darker and stellar colors (the metallic/starry blue is awsome), to suit every taste; this is why I think it's difficult not to like this collection, you can definitely find a color in the range that it's prefect for you, and because of that, congrats Faby!, you definitely succeeded in making a collection in which everyone can impersonate him/herself. I'm going to test the three colors I own out to see if they all are very impressive in the formula like Hi Honey! is, however I already have no doubts.
Dicevo di voler rimare fedele ai colori scuri fino a quando l'inverno non fosse finito ufficialmente, ma questa nuova collezione, l'essere immersa in così tanti colori, e sentire l'atmosfera primaverili che ricreavano, mi ha fatto venire voglia che i mesi caldi arrivino più in fretta così da poter iniziare ad indossare tonalità più vivaci. Sono ancora un'amante dei colori più scuri o più romantici (ad esempio i colori della collezione Eclectic li indosserei tutti quanti), però trovo che Fabulous Faby sia una collezione davvero completa, con una vastissima varietà di colori, dai colori pastello e chiari alle tonalità più accese, dalle proposte più casual a quelle più eleganti e scure (il blu metallico/stellato è meraviglioso), per assecondare ogni gusto; per questo penso sia difficile non farsi piacere questa collezione, ognuno può tranquillamente trovare il suo colore tra le tonalità proposte e per questo motivo, complimenti Faby!, a mio parere hai centrato l'obiettivo di creare una collezione in cui ognuno può trovare qualcosa in cui impersonarsi. Testerò meglio i tre colori che ho ricevuto per vedere se sono tutti così buoni in qualità e formula come Hi Honey!, anche se faccio fatica ad aver dubbi.
