Chitchat: The Body Shop Honeymania.

When I saw the The Body Shop Honeymania whole line coming out, I was so enthusiastic for the fair trade project, that I soon decided I wanted to try some of the products from the range. Also you maybe know I love every beauty product that has a delicious food-like scent, and honey, oh I love. So, how can you resist? Packagings are gorgeous, scents too, and I always wanted to try some The Body Shop products. I was seriously happy to try the The Body Shop Honeymania Shower Gel (4£)*, Body Butter (13£)*, Eau De Toilette (8.50£)*, Lip Balm (4£)*; all of them have a similar scent, but what I like the most is that every products smells a bit different from the other ones, still having all of them the same base scent. Someone could think the scents could be a bit too sweet and icky in general, and maybe it's right because this is not an universally liked scent, but I think you will really like it if you like/love honey, or simply its smell, as well as all the sweet scents out there.

Quando ho visto uscire l'intera linea The Body Shop Honeymania, ero talmente entusiasta del progetto per il commercio equo, che ho subito deciso che avrei provato alcuni di questi prodotti. Inoltre forse già sapete che amo qualsiasi prodotto beauty che profuma di cibo, e il miele, eh be', non fa di certo eccezione. Quindi, come avrei potuto resistere? I packaging sono meravigliosi, i profumi anche, e inoltre ho sempre voluto provare qualche prodotto The Body Shop. Quindi sono stata super felice di poter provare i The Body Shop Honeymania Doccia Gel (6€)*, Burro Corpo (15€)*, Eau De Toilette (13€)*, Balsamo Labbra (5€)*; tutti quanti hanno un profumo molto simile, ma in qualche modo ognuno ha la sua nota personale che lo differisce dagli altri anche se leggermente, avendo comunque lo stesso profumo di base. Qualcuno potrebbe trovare il profumo un po' troppo dolce e quasi nauseante in base ai gusti, dato che questo non è sicuramente qualcosa che può piacere universalmente, ma personalmente a me piace, e penso che, se vi piace/amate il miele, o semplicemente il suo profumo, così come tutte le altre profumazioni dolci che possono esistere, sicuramente potrà piacervi.

The product I liked the most is (of course) the The Body Shop Honeymania Body Butter*, which is the one that has the most delicious scent between all of them; is a bit less sweet and lighter than the others, and the scent stays on the skin for a long time, lovely. I didn't ever tried any The Body Shop body butter before, but I know from what I read online that they have different consistency, some are more creamy others more buttery. This one is definitely one of the thick category: the most similar thing I can compare it to is cooking unsalted butter, after you take it out of the fridge for a few (not too much) minutes. It's really solid but buttery, which means it's easy to melt it with the heat of your hands, but it's totally not creamy at all. You have to take your time to blend it in your skin, especially in colder month when it tends to be even more solid, but in the end you'll have a silky and deeply hydrated skin you'll not regret. Regarding the The Body Shop Honeymania Shower Gel*, i really like it creates a lot of foam, which is always a pro with this category of products, and it leave the skin really silky and soft, and it's really a pleasure to have on your skin such a sweet and delicious scent after the shower. Of course I love smelling like honey all day long, that's why I'm always wearing the The Body Shop Honeymania Eau De Toilette* which is not that overwhelming as you can smell it from the bottle, because as for every perfume, you have to consider the how the scent behaves on your skin, and this one on me is lovely: sweet but not too much, it softly reminds of honey scent without being too powdery. Finally I'm liking the The Body Shop Honeymania Lip Balm* to apply it in the evening before bed, but I have to admit I like it best for its smell (and taste) than for it's actual benefits I should give to my lips: I find it isn't the best in hydrating the lips, but not even the worst, I still like to use it also in the morning, to protect my lips from cold and humidity, but when it disappears I find my lips as I leave them, not better nor worse than in the morning.

Il prodotto che più mi è piaciuto (chiaramente) è sato il The Body Shop Honeymania Burro Corpo*, che è quello che, a mio parere, ha il profumo più delizioso tra tutti; è un po' meno dolce e più leggero degli altri, e la profumazione permane per ore ed ore sulla pelle, adorabile. Non ho mai provato un burro corpo The Body Shop prima d'ora, ma so, da quello che ho imparato leggendo review online, che in base alla tipologia di prodotto, questi possono avere diverse consistenze, alcuni sono più cremosi, altri più burrosi, e così via. Questo è decisamente uno di quelli più consistenti e solidi: la cosa più simile a cui mi viene da paragonarlo è il burro che si usa per cucinare, tolto dal frigorifero solo da qualche minuto (non troppi). E' veramente solido ma burroso, che significa che è molto semplice scioglierlo con il solo calore delle mani, però non è decisamente un burro corpo cremoso. Bisogna prendersi il proprio tempo per stenderlo sulla pelle, specialemente nei mesi freddi, quando tende ad indurirsi ancora di più, ma alla fine avrete una pelle sotosa e profondamente idratata di cui non vi pentirete. Riguardo al The Body Shop Honeymania Doccia Gel*, mi piace molto quanta schiuma riesce a creare, che è sempre un pro per questo genere di prodotti, e lascia la pelle setosa e soffice, senza citare che è davvero un piacere avere sulla pelle un profumo così dolce e delizioso dopo la doccia. Chiaramente sto amando anche profumare di miele in qualsiasi momento della giornata, e per questo motivo sto sempre indossando il The Body Shop Honeymania Eau De Toilette*, che non ha una profumazione così opprimente come si potrebbe pensare semplicemente sentendo il profumo dalla bottiglietta, perchè, come per ogni profumo, va considerato come reagisce a contatto con la propria pelle, e su di me è adorabile: è dolce ma non troppo, e ricorda leggermente il profumo del miele senza essere troppo invadente. Infine mi sta piacendo anche il The Body Shop Honeymania Balsamo Labbra* da applicare la sera prima di andare a letto, ma devo ammettere che mi piace più per il profumo (e sapore) che per altro, quale ad esempio benefici che potrebbe dover dare alle labbra: trovo che non sia né il migliore né il peggiore nell'idratazione delle labbra, e a volte lo uso anche al mattino per proteggere le labbra dal freddo e l'umidità, ma quando va via, ritrovo le labbra come le avevo lasciate, né meglio né peggio rispetto al mattino.

In general I genuinely think this scent is so good, it reminds me of spring sunday breakfasts with the sun shining trough the windows and honey on your bread. Well, maybe it's not an autumnal scent, but it's nice to smell sweet and spring-like all the year, you know. If you like sweet scents I totally suggest the Honeymania whole line to you; but if you think this is not your favorite scent, you should definitely go to smell it in the store, you could change your mind. Instead this is not a scent for you if you can't stand sweet scents, I can see it could be a bit too much for you.

In the Honeymania line there are also a body scrub, a soap and a bubble bath melt, which look so cute too. I think I will try the body scrub and the bubble bath melt, mainly because, since I love this scent so much, I'm curious to try some other products from the line, especially the body scrub, because I totally am a scrubs' lover, and, why not, I want to be proud of supporting the fair trade with Ethiopia campaign.

In generale penso sinceramente che il profumo sia davvero buonissimo, e mi ricorda le colazioni delle domeniche primaverili, con il sole che splende attraverso le finestre e il miele sul pane. Be', forse non è proprio un profumo autunnale, ma è comunque piacevole sentire profumi dolci e primaverili durante tutto l'anno, o almeno dal mio punto di vista! Se vi piacciono le profumazioni dolci, non posso che consigliarvi tutta l'intera linea Honeymania; ma se pensate che questo profumo non faccia per voi, dovreste almeno provare ad annusare qualcuno di questi prodotti, perchè potreste cambiare idea. Invece se siete certe di non amare per niente i profumi dolci, statene decisamente alla larga, perchè capisco che potrebbe essere un po' troppo per voi.
Nella linea Honeymania ci sono anche uno scrub corpo, un sapone e un bagnoschiuma, che sembrano anch'essi avere delle buone premesse. Penso che proverò lo scrub corpo e il bagnoschiuma principalemente perchè, dato che amo questa profumazione così tanto, sono curiosa di provare altri prodotti di questa stessa linea e profumare ancora di più di miele, soprattutto per quanto riguarda lo scrub corpo, dato che sono decisamente un amante di questo genere di prodotti e, perchè no, voglio esser contenta di aver supportato la campagna di commercio equo con l'Etiopia da cui sono nati questi prodotti.
