London Beauty Haul Part 1

Last week I wrote down a really long beauty wishlist containing products I really wanted to get while I was in London. I said I knew it wouldn't have been possible to buy everything, now that I'm back we can see together which ones I brought home with me for real. I actually part with a few of the items from my wishlist whether because I couldn't find them in stock, or because I decided I didn't need them to get some other gems and give them a whirl instead. I thought I'd split this haul in two parts since things can get a bit long here, so stay tuned for part two!

Two items from my wishlist are the Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream (9,99£) and the Real Techniques Silicone Liner Brush (5,09£), which were both pretty difficult to find, especially the brush, but I finally found them and grabbed them as I could. The former is now pretty wellknown in the beauty community, a color correcting face base containing three different pigment to conceal fatique, spots and redness with SPF15 and that aims to deliver 24 hours of hydration. To me it was pretty appealing and I was really curious to give it a whirl, however I tried it a few times and even though it's a nice base for my everyday basis, I'm not that much impressed; but of course I'm still testing it and I'll report back soon. The latter is one of the new Real Techniques brushes, the only one from that new range that really caught my eyes. This is a very innovative eyeliner brush made out of silicone to be used with your usual gel eyeliner and get a more precise and thin line out of it. I tried it a few times and I think this idea can be very ingenious as I get really nice lines out of my gel eyeliner now, which is pretty satisfactory, even if I never was that good at it.

Another makeup product I'm happy to have picked up is the Soap and Glory Glow All Out (11£), a highlighting face powder that can be used on your cheekbones or lightly dust all over the face to get a glowy look. To me it looks a bit more like a light peachy powder blush than a highlighter, maybe because I'm pale, I don't know, however I'm really enjoying using it as a blush, since it has a nice peach undertone and gives the prettiest light and subtle wash of color to your face. I need to try it lightly dusted all over my face even though I'm a little sceptical because of its warm base color. Last makeup item is a mascara, the one I was looking for for months, the L'Oreal False Lash Telescopic Mascara in Waterproof Black (10,99£): you may know I was a fan of the original Telescopic mascara waterproof version, and that it's now sadly discontinued and impossible to find, so L'Oreal launched a new "false lash" version which sounded pretty similar, but I couldn't find the new waterproof version here in Italy for no reason. I was super happy to see it and I grabbed it as soon as possible, forgetting about the Miss Manga I wanted to get too (and I'm kicking myself for not picking it up); I can see the similarity to the original one, however I loved the old brush a tiny bit more.

An unexpected purchase was the Tangle Teezer Compact (12,25£) (finally!), which I wanted for months but I never was so sure to be ready to splurge on it before, but when I saw it in real life I just needed it. You all may already know everything about it, but it aims to be the perfect detangling hairbrush to forget pain and knots while brushing your hair. We'll see if it's going to prove itself up to my high expectations. Another hair product I wanted to try in a while is the Batiste Dry Shampoo Original (2,99£), the most famous dry shampoo in the word. I'm not a huge dry shampoo girl, but I thought I can give it a try just to see what's all about - also I found the travel size version, which apparently can't be bought online but only in stores.

Lastly I bought a tun of british magazines such as Elle UK and Glamour UK of which I talked in yesterday post in details and which had some lovely freebies (read more here), but the one I was mostly excited about is definitely Allure which has a lot of amazing and super interesting beauty related features! Then I got for free a copy of the Stylist Magazine and the John Lewis Edition Magazine which are both pretty interesting as well.

Stay tuned for the second part of this London haul which will include skincare and bodycare items - and they're quite a lot! Have you tried some of these products?
Voi avete mai provato i prodotti menzionati?
