Review: Clinque Chubby Stick Intense in Heftiest Hibiscus.

Clinique Chubby sticks are always been in my wishlist (even if not phisically) since the day they came out. I never bought them, and don't know even why, but when Clinique came out with the new Chubby Stick Intense and a lot of new shades, I just can no longer ignore their existence and have to try one. As I thought, this is the best kind of lip product for me, and the one I would really use the most in my daily life... and I can't deny I could buy another of these chubby sticks sometime soon. And since I always don't buy lip products from the same line... that's how I like it (spoilering my own post, yay!).

I Chubby Stick di Clinique sono sempre stati nella mia wishlist (anche se non fisicamente) dal giorno in cui la linea è uscita. Non li ho mai acquistati e non so nemmeno il perchè, ma quando Clinique se n'è uscita con la nuova linea Chubby Stick Intense e moltissime nuove tonalità, non ho più potuto ignorare la loro esistenza e ne ho dovuto provare uno. Come pensavo fa parte della miglior tipologia di prodotti per il mio stile di vita, uno di quei prodotti che ha il potenziale per essere tra i più sfruttati nella mia routine quotidiana... e non posso negare che probabilmente a breve ne potrei acquistare anche un altro. E dato che di solito fatico ad acquistare prodotti labbra della stessa linea... beh, si capisce già quanto mi piaccia (e sì, sto spoilerando il mio stesso post, evviva!).

Clinique Chubby Sticks are big jumbo lip pencils, balmy and moisturizing lip products with a bit of color. The first line was rich of sheer colors, but the Chubby Stick Intense one have a lot of more opaque colors and pigmented ones, and I think this is why they call it intense. 

I chose Heftiest Hibiscus because I bought it at the beginning of spring, which in Italy was not the best in weather and colors, that makes me want to bring to myself a bit of happiness on my lips: that's why the main colors of my recent beauty purchases are red and hot pink. As concern the color I really like it, and I think this could be the best one in the new "intense" line according to my taste (if I will buy another one, I think it will be a nude, maybe Curviest Caramel from the same line): Heftiest Hibiscus is a beautiful orangy red, which is actually a lot different from the picture I found online before buying it, but I like it anyway. Pigmentation is really good, you just have to barely touch your lips with the pencil and it will instantly paint them. It goes on really smoothly, and I really like its glossy and balmy consistency, which isn't a lack at all, because it stays a long time on lips even if it's more similar to a gloss than a long lasting lipstick. Also, it doesn't wander upon your face, but stays naturally (without the help of a lip pencil) on the lips without moving.

Having dry lips, I really enjoy wearing glosses or balms instead of matt lipsticks, and that's why I like this product so much. I find it's difficult to find balmy lip products with a fine texture, not too glossy, not too sticky, and also which have a good lasting power: but this product is absolutely good in these categories. Its texture is glossy but not too much, and moisturizing without being sticky. It's defined as a moisturizing lip colour balm, and it's exactly what it is, a really confortable and lightweigth product, which is a lot more similar to a lipbalm, with the plus of a beautiful and full color. 

In comparison with the majority of the shades from the first line of Chubby Stick (which I haven't tried, but I tested them on the back of my hands in the store), I find these Chubby Sticks Intense a lot less glossy, which to me it is good... I really like more matt lip colors, but I can't allow myself to wear them really often because of the dryness of my lips. And so if you are like me, and you like matt lip colors better than glossy ones, I would really reccomend the Intense line, but if you like the glossy look, the old line is perfect.

When swatched Heftiest Hibiscus isn't red as the packaging makes you think, and on my lips it becames a beautiful red with a nearly accentuated orange undertone, which makes me think about spring and summer days. If I had to buy it now I would have bought a nude color because I really want to wear this product everyday even at school, but a red color isn't the best choise for that situation.

On my lips, if I'm careful, it last a lot, almost 4 hours, which is a lot of time if you think this products is meant to be a lipbalm. Applying it's really simple thanks to its pencil shape, and you don't have to worry about putting a lip pencil underneath or some other products, because it won't smudge, and will stay there for 3/4 hours. When it starts to fade, it will disappear gradually without leaving anti-aestethic spots of color in some corners of your lips.

But the best thing about it is its INCI, which is great because it contains mainly natural ingredients and not that crappy stuff you usually find in lipbalms.

I Chubby Sticks di Clinque sono matitoni (molto oni) a scatto per labbra, con la consistenza di un lipbalm, molto idratanti e ricchi in colore. La prima linea ha moltissimi colori molto sheer, mentre i Chubby Stick Intense sono tutti molto più pigmentati, e forse è proprio per quello che li hanno chiamati intense.

Ho scelto la tonalità Heftiest Hibiscus perchè l'ho acquistato all'inizio della primavera, che sapete non è stata davvero un granché quest'anno, e quindi avevo voglia di indossare un po' di colore almeno sulle labbra: ecco perchè i colori che risaltano nei miei ultimi acquisti beauty sono il rosso e il rosa. Comunque è un colore che mi piace molto, forse quello che più nella linea incontrava i miei gusti (ma ora come ora, se dovessi acquistarne un altro punterei a un nude, come Curviest Caramel della stessa linea): Heftiest Hibiscus è un rosso leggermente aranciato, molto diverso da come sembra nelle immagini che si vedono online, davvero molto più scuro rispetto a come pensavo, ma mi piace molto comunque. La pigmentazione è davvero ottima, basti pensare che basta appoggiare la punta del matitone alle labbra e sfiorarle appena perchè le colori. E' davvero facile da stendere, e mi piace molto la sua consistenza morbida tendente al lipbalm, che non è assolutamente un difetto, in quanto, nonostante sia molto lontano dall'avere la texture di un rossetto a lunga tenuta, ha comunque una buona durata e inoltre non vaga sul volto (anche senza l'aiuto di matite labbra) e sta dove deve stare senza problemi.

Avendo le labbra secche, mi piace molto indossare gloss o lipbalm piuttosto che rossetti matt (dal punto di vista della comodità, chiaramente), ed è per questo che questo prodotto mi sta piacendo molto. Trovo difficile trovare prodotti labbra con questa consistenza, che però abbiano anche una buona tenuta e una buona pigmentazione, ma questi Chubby Stick sono ottimi in questo: la loro consistenza non è troppo lucida, idratano senza essere appiccicosi sulle labbra. Viene definito come un moisturizing lip colour balm, che è esattamente quello che è, un prodotto davvero molto confortevole e leggero, adatto a qualsiasi occasione, più simile a un burrocacao, ma con il pregio di avere un colore intenso.

Comparando la nuova linea "intense" con la vecchia (che non ho provato, ma di cui ho swatchato tutti i colori sulla mano in negozio), ho trovato questi nuovi Chubby Stick molto meno lucidi e sheer, ma anzi leggermente più opachi oltre che più pigmentati, cosa che è assolutamente un pregio per me, dato che amo i rossetti dal colore pieno e magari matt, anche se non posso permettermi di indossarli spesso a causa della secchezza delle mie labbra. Perciò se anche a voi piacciono i colori più opachi e intensi come a me, vi consiglio vivamente la linea "intense", mentre se preferite l'effetto gloss opterei per quella vecchia.

Swatchato Heftiest Hibiscus non è così rosso come appare dal packaging, ma anzi si nota molto la punta di arancio che mi fa pensare a giornate primaverili ed estive. Se lo dovessi acquistare ora però opterei per un colore nude, proprio perchè vorrei indossare questo prodotto ogni giorno anche a scuola, e il rosso non è il colore più adatto a quell'occasione.

Sulle mie labbra, se ci sto attenta, dura circa 4 ore, che è un sacco di tempo se pensiamo che questo prodotto è pensato per essere un lipbalm, dunque ci si aspetterebbe che durasse molto meno. Applicarlo poi è davvero semplicissimo grazie alla sua forma a matita, e non bisogna nemmeno preoccuparsi di indossare sotto una matita labbra o qualcosa di simile, perchè non sbava e sta lì le sue 3/4 ore senza problemi. Quando inizia a sbiadire lo fa in maniera uniforme e graduale, senza lasciare antiestetiche macchie di colore ai lati delle labbra.

La miglior cosa è però l'INCI, che è ottimo e composto principalmente da ingredienti naturali.

Mi ricordano un po' vagamente i Pecil Lipgloss di Kiko, con un INCI migliore, se avete presente.

You can see how compared with Rimmel Kate 111 lipstick (which maybe some of you owns), it's a lot more orange and balmy looking. Also on the lips it is lighter and you can actually modulate it as you like, to reach a fuller color look, or a "barely there" one.

It contains 3 grams of product, a bit less of a classic lipstick, and its price is almost 17€ at Sephora (I was a little bit sceptical about the price at the beginning, but now I think it's worth every cent and I would re-buy it!). It's also allergy tested and fragrance free.

Finally I would really recomed it to everyone, I think it can suits everyone's life style.

Si vede che comparandolo con il Rimmel Kate 111 (che forse qualcuna di voi possiede), è molto più aranciato come colore e più lucido. Inoltre sulle labbra è più chiaro di come appare dal packaging, e in realtà è anche molto modulabile, quindi si può raggiungere sia un look più "colore pieno", sia uno più soft.

Contiene 3 grammi di prodotto, un po' meno di un classico rossetto, e il suo prezzo è attorno ai 17€ da Sephora (all'inizio ero un po' scettica per via del prezzo, ma ora penso sia valso ogni centesimo e sicuramente lo ricomprerei). E' anche provato contro le allergie e privo di profumo.

Per concludere insomma lo consiglierei un po' a tutte, credo possa adattarsi allo stile di vita di chiunque!
